Gunners Program (Recreational)

Red Deer Roller Hockey promotes a fun and inclusive environment for our Gunners Program. There is no tracking of scores or standings.

There are 5 Gunner divisions: 7U, 9U, 11U, 13U, 15U & 18U.

Gunner teams will be chosen and posted to the website before league play starts on April 15.
We strive to make the Gunners teams as equally balanced as possible.
Gunners in 7U play one night per week, while 9U - 18U play two nights per week.

Game Format U9/U11

1. 15 Minute Warm-Up with Skills and Drills
2. Full Court Games 4 on 4
3. Two Twenty Minute Half’s - Run Time
4. 2 Minute Break
5. 2 Minute Shifts - No Shortening on the Bench
6. Goalies
7. Face-offs
8. Score Clock
9. Penalties
10. Maximum 3 Goal Rule Per Player

Game Format U13

1. 15 Minute Warm Up with Skills and Drills

4. 2 Minute Break
